New is nice...but old is Awesome!
1968 Chevrolet Impala convertible, claimed to be one of the cars sold new at Nickey Chevrolet in Chicago, a dealership that did performance upgrades in house (similar to Yenko and Baldwin Motion), where they did the big block 427/4-Speed Muncie upgrade to this car, though we don't have any paperwork/documentation the consignor purchased this car from the person that had owned it since the 70s and we believe the statements to be accurate, either way this is one cool car which sports these great options.... Muncie M-21 4-speed manual, 3:73 posi rear, factory in dash tach, 4-link rear heavy duty suspension, stabilizer bars, 4 piston disc brakes, 4-core radiator, power steering, power front disc brakes and power top, vintage aftermarket 8-track player, the original 427 was blew up in the late 70s and was replaced with a built 1967 396 with 427 studded heads, 10:1 compression, forged crank, pistons, cam, headers, solid lifters and more, the engine/trans combo still remains in the car today, runs very strong and shifts nice, as for the body it was repainted approx. 20 years ago in this awesome silver metallic color, nice black interior and NEW convertible top, body is straight/solid and paint still looks fantastic with only a couple minor flaws, overall a very unique and nice car that has been driven sparingly over the last 20 years, runs and drives great. How many of these do you see around? Very cool ride!!
This is a consigned vehicle.
Sorry, Sold!
